HELP SAVE LIVES IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS!
As many of you know, at age 36 on January 24th I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma breast cancer. Although it is never the words you want to hear you find out how strong you really are. I finished 6 rounds of chemotherapy and will continue an infused drug through February due to a Her2 positive diagnosis. After undergoing a double mastectomy on July 2 my cancer was 98% gone! We serve an awesome God! I was stage 1a and so very thankful. Self checks are so important and I found the lump myself. Being 36 with no family history and small children being aware of my body was a positive! Thank you all for supporting me and joining with me for such a wonderful cause. Much love and blessings to you all!! This year I am co-chairing this event and we are so excited!
I’m lacing up to save lives by participating in the 4th Annual Julie Rogers “Gift of Life” Program 5K Ribbon Run/Walk on Saturday, October 11 in Downtown Beaumont. Proceeds benefit the “Gift of Life” regional cancer awareness initiatives for breast, ovarian and other gynecological cancers.
